The Philadelphia Eagles' reign as the best team in these NFL power rankings is over.
The reigning NFC champions have been No. 1 in our NFL rankings since Week 9, but have fallen down to No. 2 after a five-week span on the top even though they still have the best record in the NFL at 10-2.
Why?
One of the teams with the second-best record in the league beat them by 23 points in Philadelphia.
The San Francisco 49ers blew out the Eagles on the road in NFL Week 13, 42-19, once again staking their claim as the best team in the league, and returning to the top of our power rankings for the first time since Week 6.
San Francisco has now won four straight games to improve to 9-3. The 49ers have the Seattle Seahawks up next, followed by the Arizona Cardinals and Baltimore Ravens.
How long will they stay No. 1?
We're not sure, but San Francisco right now looks like the team to beat in the NFL.
Check out our NFL power rankings heading into NFL Week 14 games, with previous ranking in parenthesis.

32. Carolina Panthers (32)
Lost to Buccaneers, 21-18, to fall to 1-11. It's really too bad this team traded their 2024 first-round NFL draft pick to the Bears.
31. New England Patriots (30)
Lost to Chargers, 6-0, to fall to 2-10. The Patriots could really use a quarterback, but this team has other issues as well.

Beat Steelers, 24-10, to improve to 3-10. Where did that win against the Steelers come from? This time is 2-2 with Kyler Murray.
29. Washington Commanders (28)
